PORVORIM: Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai on Monday raised concerns over the declining quality of education after Goa University(GU) failed to retain its spot in the 100 best universities in the country.

During the Zero Hour mention, Sardesai said that as per the latest National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking, Goa University is out of first 100 university list. He said that there are 53 colleges , catering to 27,000 students, that are affiliated to the Goa University, where the government now needs to give attention. “The government shows interest in GU only during students’ election,” he said.
