MARGAO: A splendid brace by Joylwin Souza helped Bresources Betalbatim Sporting Club thrashed Raia Football Club 5-0 in GFA’s Under-14 football tournament, at Cortalim ground, Wednesday. Betalbatim Sporting Club led 2-0 at the breather.
Betalbatim dominated in both the sessions and their opponents were struggling to contain the rival rampaging forwards. Newton Fernandes, who was the architect of his team’s victory, kept his forwards busy with a stream of fluent passes and also unleashed couple of pots shots.
After the break, there was no respite for Raia as they attacked from both the flanks. Newton, Joybert Almeida and Elvis D’Cunha accounted one goal each to rub salt on the Raia wounds.
