PONDA: Seven passengers were injured on Saturday when the driver of the Valpoi-Ponda bound bus lost control over the vehicle while negotiating the potholes on the service road near Amigos Junction at Curti.
While negotiating the potholes along the service road the driver lost control of the bus and hit the retaining wall of the flyover. However, some locals say if the bus had to fall into a nearby gorge then it could have resulted in a major tragedy.
The injured passengers were shifted to the Ponda Sub District Hospital.
Reacting to the accident, the locals have been demanding to improve the condition of the roads in Curti to ensure the safety of commuters.
