PANJIM: Goa Police has registered as many as 32,000 cases of violation of lockdown orders while around 1,100 persons have faced arrest during the 37 days of nationwide lockdown.
The total violation also includes people caught spitting and not wearing masks.

The report for Thursday, compiled on a day-to-day basis, reveals that 32,720 violations of lockdown order have been reported till April 30. The total violations also include 2991 cases of spitting.
The violations have led to arrest of 1174 persons while 456 vehicles have been seized. The department has also collected fine amount of Rs 39.89 lakh from the violators.
The nationwide lockdown began on March 25 and ended on April 14. The Centre then extended the lockdown till May 3.
