RAIA: Hosts Santa Cruz club of Cavelossim defeated St. Savio Calangute SC 2-0 and moved into the quarter-final of Cavelossim Panchayat rolling trophy football at Cavelossim ground, on Thursday. They led 1-0 at half time.

Cavelossim shot into the lead in the 6th minute. A corner kick by Raju Cardozo was controlled by Blayne Rodrigues who backpassed to Darren Estiberio who beat St Savio goalkeeper Philip Coutinho.
St Savio exerted pressure after the break and a header by Narmesh was brilliantly punched away by Cavelossim goalkeeper Aaren Fernandes.
Cavelossim regained control and a cross from Darren went to Eletrin Viegas who tapped the ball in the deserted goal. Bleston Rodrigues of Cavelossim was declared man-of-the match.
