QUEPEM: Forty two nominations are received from 33 candidates for Quepem municipal Council elections, on Friday taking the total to 47.
Former chairpersons Dayesh Naik, Filu Dcosta and Raul Perera were the prominent persons who have filed the nominations among others.

Dayesh Naik said, “I am very much confident of winning the seat of my ward. I always work for people and development of our municipal ward and with the support and prayers of those people, I will definitely win.
Quepem’s AAP party revealed that total 6 AAP-backed candidates are contesting, among which 5 are women. “I am very confidence about our candidates. They will definitely be victorious. This election is not on party line but we firmly stand with them,” said Fernades.
