MAPUSA: Ajay Patel netted a late goal, to find Guirim SCC defeat Holiday Club Arpora by 3-2 margin in the GFA’s Third Division League-Bardez Zone, held at Poriat ground, here, on Wednesday.
The teams were locked in a 1-1 draw at the breather. It was Danel Shahu who put Guirim unit ahead scoring in the very 7th minute of play on entering the penalty box, 1-0. However it was Arpora colt Pavitra Ghodmare who levelled terms for his team, 1-1.

On crossing ends Guirim once again forged ahead through Danel Shahu goal while Sneiden Fernandes found the equalizer for Arpora, 2-2.
When it looked the teams were heading for a draw, Ajay Patel netted the winning goal for Guirim in the 93rd minute to give full three points for his team.
At Vagator grounds: FC Siolim continued on their winning streak as they managed to defeat Peddem Bomm by 1-0 margin. The teams played almost on equal footing until in the 83rd minute FC Siolim scored their match winning goal through the boots of Sahil Pombuphekar.
At Moira grounds: Sesa FA had an easy outing as they thrashed Cunchelim SC by 8-0 margin. Sesa lads went into the breather with two goals cushion with Ferren Gonsalves netting a brace. On crossing over in the 59th minute, Ferren Gonsalves completed his hat-trick, while Aniket TeRane (2), Nikhil Kholkar (2), Shekar Fondekar added their names to the scorers list.
At Mayem grounds: FC Sanquelim drubbed St Dominic Savio SC by 11-1 margin. Vicky Gawas did most of the damage scoring four goals, with Rudresh scoring 3 while Saidatt, Akash, Jesusly and Ismail, one each for the winners. Nandesh Kaisukar netted the consolation goal for St Dominic Savio colts.
At Betalbatim ground: South Goa United Club hammered Shiroda Youth Club by ten goals. Felix Varghese scored a hat-trick followed by brace each by Johann Abranches, Velito Rocha and Rohan Yadav. Silvano Oliveira was the other scorer.
At Chandor ground: Macazana Welfare Club defeated Dicarpale SC by 4-1 goals. Nalister Silveira, Wilson Soreng, Aloysh Costa and Gilbert Fernandes scored for Macazana WC while Benny Fernandes was the only scorer for Dicarpale SC.
