VALPOI: All the accused in the stoning of a Congress meeting at Poriem surrendered to Valpoi police, on Wednesday.
After the stoning incident, Poriem panch Anil Majik filed a complaint against ten persons, including one Vishnu Sawant at the Valpoi police station.
On their surrender, Valpoi police arrested all the accused and later released them on personal bonds. According to Valpoi Police Inspector Deepak Pednekar, the situation in Poriem is under control, however, a police control van is deployed in the area as a matter of abundant caution.
