Down by two sets, Goa Police rallied brilliantly to beat Churchill Brothers 16-25, 16-25, 25-18, 33-31, 15-3 to book their place in the finals of the All-Goa floodlit volleyball tournament, at Crown Club court, Santa Cruz.
Churchill took the first two sets quite easily as their spikers were in top form, particularly Pawar. Milind Bodke too played a stellar role for Churchill.
However, egged on by the crowd Goa Police turned the tables on Churchill Brothers as they went on to register an amazing comeback by winning the next three sets. The fourth set was particularly phenomenal as the score read 33-31.
Filomen and Dawaskar were instrumental in Goa Police’s win.
