Goa Forward’s mantra is Goem, Goemkar and Goemkarponn

Vijai says party would take every decision keeping Goemkar in mind

MARGAO: Goa Forward candidate from Fatorda Vijai Sardesai said that his party stands for ‘Goem, Goemkar and Goemkarponn’ and that the party would take every decision keeping the Goemkar in mind.
Addressing a corner meeting held at Novowaddo in Fatorda,  said that a ‘Mull Goemkar’ is true to his word and that he has always honoured his word.
Sardesai attacked the Congress for having invited leaders from Delhi to announce their manifesto for Goa stating that “these Dilliwalas don’t care about Goa and that they came and announced a few sops and have left, and if these promises are not fulfilled, we Goans will have no one to hold accountable to, because such leaders from Delhi are not true to their words.”
On the employment front, Sardesai said that many new industries have been given direct entry into Goa through the Goa Investment Policy, but jobs have been outsourced to contractors who bring persons from outside the State to be employed in these industries.
Accusing the BJP government of having not cared for the welfare of Goan youth, he said that while they doled out schemes on the one hand, the government sold out our land and jobs to the highest bidder via the Investment Promotion Board.
He attacked the Independent ST candidate who withdrew his candidature and joined the BJP, saying it was an insult to the ST community, because, he betrayed his community and joined a party that tried to deny them their share of reservation in the municipal polls in 2015.
The meeting was also addressed by MMC Chairperson Babita Angle, ex-chairperson of Margao Monica Dias, councillors Tito Cardozo, Jose Fernandes, Babish Rodrigues and Rosario Dias.
