PANJIM: Claiming the party workers’ meeting which was organized by Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Goa unit, and addressed by its National President Amit Shah at Dabolim international airport on Saturday is illegal, social activist Advocate Aires Rodrigues has filed a complaint before the ministry of civil aviation.
In the complaint jointly addressed to the Secretary of Ministry of Civil Aviation, Chief Secretary of Goa and the Director General of Police, Rodrigues has sought that an FIR be registered against the organizers of that illegal public meeting, Amit Shah and all the other dignitaries present at the meeting, as they cannot now claim to be ignorant of the legal provisions.
In his complaint, Rodrigues has stated that probably for the first time ever in the history of the country, a public meeting was organized in the high security precincts of an airport when the Goa BJP held a public meeting addressed by party President Amit Shah at Goa’s Dabolim Airport.
