PANJIM: The CCP mayor Surendra Furtado sent a reminder to the CCP commissioner Sanjit Rodrigues, Friday, directing him to issue a notice to the Captain of Ports to immediately stop work between 10 pm and 6 am at the Panjim jetty.

He has alleged that this is in contempt of the SC order which does not allow work within the city limits to be carried out between those hours.

“You are also informed that on June 4, 2013, you have already been directed to issue stop of work notice at the Panjim jetty and till today no such order has been issued. Failure to do so will mean dereliction of duty on your part as Commissioner of the City of Panaji and attract appropriate action against you for deliberately not being responsible and accountable in your duty,” the order says.
