PANJIM: Old Goa Education Institute defeated Auxilium High School by five wickets to move into the semi-finals of the Tiswadi zone U-16 Dilip Sardessai Trophy inter-school cricket tournament, organised by Goa Cricket Association, at SAG ground, Campal, on Saturday.
Batting first Auxilium were all out for 45 in just 11.3 overs.
Manjuna Saloni was the only batmen to reach double figures for Auxilium scoring 18 runs.
Aslam A Sindagi was the main wicket taker for Old Goa picking five for just 22 runs.
Sonu Singh (3/09) and Vikashkumar Mahato (2/02) were the other wicket takers.
In reply Old Goa scored the required runs in 11 overs wherein Sindagi scored 19 for Old Goa.
For Auxilium, Samay Das picked two wickets while Saloni Manjunath and Shubham Singh picked one each.
Old Goa now meet Mushtifund High School in the semi-finals on February 28.
