PANJIM: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested an alleged drug peddler, who has been previously booked once for the offence.

The accused identified as Balaram alias Bala from Rajasthan was on Friday evening caught red-handed with 10 kgs of ganja in his possession. The raid at Mapusa was conducted after tracking him from Shirpur in Maharasthra from where he was travelling by bus and carrying the drugs on him.
“Efforts are being made for identification and apprehension of the receiver in Goa. Pertinent to mention that Balaram was earlier arrested by the NCB with 3.5 kgs of ganja on February 6 during a follow up action in one of the cases. He was released on bail on February 25,” an officer said.
