Novenas for the feast of St Francis Xavier to begin from November 24, ‘Maddi’ on Nov 23

Known as ‘Goencho Saib’ and the protector of Goa, the feast of Saint Francis Xavier will be celebrated with much fervour on December 3. Preparations are in full swing for the masses at Old Goa. The ”Maddi” will be installed ahead of the novenas after the Mass in the pandal at 6 pm on Nov 23. The Novenas will start 24 Nov through 2 Dec. The masses will be celebrated from 6 am and go on till 6 pm.
