PANJIM: Activist Rama Kankonkar has accused the government of harassing COVID-19 suspects and positive patients through faulty medical reports.
A video message of the activist, which has now gone viral, has cited an instance wherein a woman is subjected to harassment and trauma due to negligence on the part of health authorities.

“It is such a pitiable condition of the State under Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane that the people are being given faulty results. I know of a recent instance wherein a woman from Chimbel was informed she is COVID positive. Soon after her admission at COVID Care Centre, her report changed to negative,” Kankonkar said while narrating the incident outside Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium.
Kankonkar alleged that the Chief Minister and Health Minister are not concerned about the people’s health rather they are covering up on the manipulations.
“It is a risk to even go for testing and get admitted when the government is giving faulty results,” he said.
