The tournament will take place on February 8, at sports complex, Bhute Bhat-Vasco and the last date for submitting the entry forms will be February 4.
Arlekar added that while the tournament is open for gents, for ladies it is only for the students of Higher Secondary Schools and Colleges. Arlekar further added that the rules guiding the games will be as per the rules of Goa Kabaddi Association.
Arlekar stated that besides cash prizes for the winner and runner-up, cash prizes will also be awarded to the individual players in various discipline.
No outside players will be allowed and the decision of the umpires will be binding on all the participating teams.
Arlekar who is also the president of Commando Sports Club, Vasco stated that kabaddi is now an international sport and it is high time to promote the sport among the young talent.
Arlekar stated with the reviving of that the sport he is also planning to start coaching camps with trained coaches for the benefit of the youth who are interested in perusing the game.
