MARGAO: The South Goa Planning and Development Authority on Tuesday floated the tender for sopo collection from its wholesale fish market.
Sources in the know said the PDA has retained the three years experience clause in the tender, but is believed to have not insisted that the bidder should have previous experience in sopo collection only in respect of the wholesale fish market.
The last date for obtaining tender forms from the PDA is October 25. Sources said that President of the Cutbona Boat Owners Union Seby Cardozo called on the PDA Member Secretary Vinod Kumar and sought details on the experience clause in the tender. It is learnt that the member secretary has told Cardozo that anyone having experience in market or other sopo collection can apply for the tender. The last date for submission of the tender forms is October 30.
Sources in the know said the boat owners are believed to have taken stock of the SGPDA tender and are likely to participate in the bid in the name of individuals.
