PANJIM: Panjim Police arrested two persons in separate drug raids on Tuesday. In the first raid, the police caught Ramvilas Shah in possession of a greenish substance suspected to be ganja. Shah, from Bihar and temporarily residing at Taleigao, was caught in the raid near Caculo Island in the afternoon, PI Siddhant Shirodkar said. The suspected ganja, weighing 80 gms and valued at Rs 10,000 has been sent for forensic test.
In the second raid, Joshua Viegas, from Dona Paula was caught with similar substance weighing 100 gms worth Rs 15,000 during a raid near KTC bus stand.
The seized contraband has also been sent for forensic analyses. The PI said that both accused have been arrested and booked under relevant section of NDPS Act.
