PWD fails to repair burst pipeline at Majorda

MARGAO: Locals from Majorda have complained to PWD about a water pipeline that burst and claim that PWD has not been able to rectify it.

Majorda locals stated that the pipeline burst four days ago and that residents have been suffering from acute water shortage in the area. They added that complaints to PWD have fallen on deaf ears. Sources said that arrangements via water tankers were trying to be arranged.
PWD is looking into the matter and promised to resolve it within 48 hours. PWD officials, however, denied that there was water shortage.
