Cuncolim: In a case of drunken riding, three people were injured in an accident on the national highway in Balli, Cuncolim, on Monday. According to Cuncolim police, Nikhil Narayan Velip (19), a resident of Canacona, was riding his Passion Pro motorcycle without a license and under the influence of alcohol while proceeding from Balli towards Cuncolim on the NH-17. In Balli, he collided into an oncoming Aviator scooter, due to which he as well as the scooter rider Samir Velip (25), a resident of Velipwada Balli, and pillion rider Ankita Velip (16) suffered injuries.
Cuncolim police have registered offences against Velip under Sections 279 and 337 of IPC and Sections 3 and 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
