RAIA: Parish Youth Nuvem scraped past Canacona SCC 5-4 via tie-breaker to emerge champions in the late Fr Gervasio Pinto inter-village football tournament organised by Guardian Angel Sports Club, Curchorem, at Figueiredo ground, Pontemol-Curchorem, recently.
Both teams were tied 1-1 at the full session, with Godfrey Mascarenhas scoring for Parish Youth Nuvem and Breman Rodrigues netting for Canacona SCC.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, Niclou Colaco, Godfrey Mascarenhas, Darwin Colaco and Frazer Miranda were on target for Parish Youth Nuvem, while Shane Afonso, Mehboob Hublikar and Ralloy Travasso scored for Canacona SCC.
Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of other dignitaries and club officials.
