PANJIM: Revenue Department has appointed Srinet Kothwale, Joint Secretary Home, as inquiry officer in the Serula Comunidade case against the backdrop of the submissions made before the High Court in a writ petition. The order said the inquiry should be commenced with immediate effect and report submitted in six months.
The order also states that allegations made in various writ petitions involving Serula Comunidade be verified and determine whether there have been any lapses or noncompliance of norms or procedure in granting plots since liberation till 2011.
Revenue Department has also asked to identify land vacant as against allotted by following all legal requirements.
The inquiry will also find out whether records pertaining to grant of land are maintained by the Comunidade and administrators office and whether there has been any fraud in granting plots.
