Cong forms panel to review working

PANJIM, JULY 8 The Congress Party has constituted a four-member Co-ordination Committee to review activities undertaken by the State Government.

The Congress Party has constituted a four-member Co-ordination Committee to review activities undertaken by the State Government.
AICC General Secretary B K Hariprasad who is in-charge of Goa, Rajiv Shuka, Chief Minister Digambar Kamat and President of GPCC, Subhash Shirodkar will be the four members.
Announcing this at a press conference on Wednesday here, Shirodkar said representatives of other parties that are partners in the Government will be accommodated in the co-ordination Committee later.
He, however said, this Committee is Goa-specific and would examine and review activities of the State Government.
The Congress president also stated he would talk to party members and MLAs flouting rules by using fancy numbers plates on official and private vehicles.
ILLEGAL MINING: Shirodkar said the Congress was against the rampant illegal mining taking place and felt immediate steps should be taken to check the menace.
