MARGAO: With three nominations withdrawn on Saturday for the Navelim Zilla Panchayat by-elections, four are left in the fray including one independent candidate.
On the last day for withdrawal, Minguel Rosario Cardoso, Rama Sukdev Shetkar and Rima Dias withdrew their nominations. While Minguel had filed his nomination as an independent candidate, Rama had filed his as BJP candidate and Rima had filed as a Congress candidate.

The candidates left in the fray are Pratima Coutinho of the Congress, Matilda D’Silva of Aam Aadmi Party, Satyavijai Naik of BJP and Edwin Cardoso, who is an independent candidate, allotted Aeroplane as a symbol.
