The MLA said, “As a precautionary measure, the Aldona and Nachinola panchayats have decided to lockdown the villages and only stores dealing with essential commodities will be open at particular time and dates. If required, the lockdown could extend further. I appeal to the people if anyone person has come in contact with the infected person in Aldona, then that person could get self-tested for COVID to prevent virus transmission.”
