PANJIM: Holiday Sports Club registered a narrow 2-1 win over Saligao United in the Goa Football Association Third Division League match, at Anjuna Gymkhana ground, on Sunday.
Sahil Morajkar gave Holiday SC a 26th minute lead. However, Saligao United levelled terms in the 40th minute.
Crossing over, Francis Fernandes scored the second for Holiday SC in the 55th minute which proved to be the match-winner.
Meanwhile, Guarav Gosavi and Dyandeep Naik scored for Kelbai SC in their 2-1 win over FC Tuem. FC Tuem netted through Samir Pawar.
At Artificial Turf ground, St Sebastiao YC beat Sirvodem SC 4-2.
Mourison Dias scored a brace while Christopher Borges and Frazer Miranda were the other goal scorers for the winners. Sheldon Peixoto and Myron Vaz got on to the scoresheet for the losing side.
Fr Agnel YSC Paroda and Maina SC played out a 1-1 draw.
