NAVELIM: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, registered a solitary goal victory over Curtorim Gymkhana to enter into the quarter-final of the Navelim Villagers Union Golden Jubilee Trophy in memory of late Jose Santa Rita Coelho (Babush) inter village football tournament played at Rosary Church ground, Navelim on Thursday.
Hanslum Furtado of Fatorda was the star of the match with his dribbling and shooting power. Joaquim Carneiro of Curtorim played well for his team and sent in a long ball to Milagres Mascarenhas whose shot missed the mark in the third minute.

Rishakabah Karapurkar of Fatorda should have netted in the 6th minute but the latter’s shot hit the Curtorim post and went out of play. Later Milagres shot wide for Curtorim. Then Joaquim Carneiro of Curtorim sent in a well-measured pass to Hanslum Furtado whose power-packed shot was blocked by Fatorda Curtorim goalkeeper Johnson Bhogot.
In the second half, Maxwell Furtado of Fatorda netted the match winner in the 59th minute with a glancing header.
