Saligao took the lead in the 9th minute through Alan Gonsalves, who was well fed by Devesh. Holy Cross boys fought back and drew level in the 18th minute with Jason Fernandes’ header finding the net.
Hemant Rodrigues put Holy Cross ahead in the 27th minute off a Sunny’s pass. Devesh levelled the score for Saligao in the 30th minute.
The winners were decided on penalties. Holy Cross got better of Saligao by 4-3. Sunny, Jason, Steplton and Vithal were on target for Holy Cross while David, Craig and Ajay found the mark for Saligao.
