House lauds eminent Goans

The Goa Assembly on Monday congratulated renowned neuro spinal surgeon Dr P S Ramani, a Goan for winning prestigious “Dr Paul Bassi” award from America, for his excellence in neuro and spinal surgeries.
Dr Ramani is the first Asian to win the award.
Senior members of the House including Speaker Pratapsing Rane, Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, Deputy Speaker Mauvin Godinho spoke applauding Dr Ramani for his huge contribution in the field of medicine.
Minister for Panchayat Babu Azgaonkar and Fatorda MLA Damu Naik too congratulated Dr Ramani for bringing laurels to Goa.
Bhakti Pradeep Kulkarni: The House today congratulated Bhakti Pradeep Kulkarni for showing excellence in chess and winning gold medals at Asian Youth Chess Championship under 18 girls category held at Beijing and bringing laurels to Goa.
The motion was moved by Fartodar MLA Damu Naik moved. The House also congratulated Talasha Satish Prabhu for winning four gold and silver medals at the 37 the junior national aquatic meet at Bangalore and clinching title of “fastest female swimmer” with India’s best time of 59.50 seconds to win gold in 100 mts free style.
The motion was moved by Opposition Leader Manohar Parrikar.
