MARGAO: Verna Sports Club got the better of United Club of Benaulim 2-0 to book their place in the semi- final of 25th Super soccer All-Goa inter-village football tournament organized by United Club of Dando, Colva, at St John the Baptist ground, Dando, Colva, on Sunday.
Basilio Rego gave Verna the lead off an assist from Shawn Pereira that stunned their opponents.
In the second half, Verna doubled their lead through Cleston Fernandes whoc finished calmly off an assist from Newston D’Silva.
