Symposium on special status

Movement for Special Status for Goa, which is spearheading a campaign for special status to Goa, is organising a symposium-cum-conference on the demand at the Menezes Braganza Hall, here, on April 14 at 9.30 am.

PANJIM: Movement for Special Status for Goa, which is spearheading a campaign for special status to Goa, is organising a symposium-cum-conference on the demand at the Menezes Braganza Hall, here, on April 14 at 9.30 am. 

According to a press note issued here by MSSG’s convenor, Antonio Lobo, the conference is being held in order to enlighten the public about the need to have special status. 

The other objective of the event, the press note states, was to gather sufficient inputs to enable MSSG to finalise a road map to achieve the aim of having special status. 

At the conference, several speakers will speak on topics touching upon various facets of the demand. Speakers representing various political parties active in Goa and who are supportive of the cause will also talk on the subject.
