MARGAO: The Curtorim Cultural Committee (CCC) is gearing up to host a vibrant four-day cultural festival starting on March 1. A range of competitions, performances, and a grand float parade are planned as part of the festivities, which mark the 18th year of the annual event organized by the CCC. The committee is chaired by Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, with Jacob JF Ataide serving as its president.

“Our goal is to nurture local talent while providing entertainment for the community. Over the years, our talent search has extended beyond Curtorim to include participants from across Goa,” Ataide said, while speaking to the media. The festival will feature various competitions, including drawing and singing contests open to all age groups. A key attraction will be the float parade scheduled for March 2 at 7 pm, starting from Maina Market and making its way to Curtorim Market. The parade will have two categories—open and local—while a fancy dress competition is also expected to add to the excitement.
The festival’s budget stands at approximately Rs 11 lakh, with Conceicao Dias named as King Momo. Funding has been secured through support from the Department of Art and Culture, local residents, well-wishers, and contributions from the MLA and committee members.
