It was Saligao who called the shots in the entire match, keeping the Pilerne outfit confined to their own backyard.
Trevor Dias broke the deadlock in the 20th minute of play when on getting hold of the ball from Latesh Mandrekar he darted into the Pilerne danger zone and unleashed a powerful strike which had no answer from the rival keeper.
Within a span of four minutes, Saligao once again got to scoring, with this time Latesh Mandrekar curling his 25-yard free-kick into the far corner of the Pilerne nets to make it 2-0.
On resumption of play Pilerne tried hard to initiate some moves, however the Saligao defence stood rock solid.
The winners fired in their third goal in the 55th minute of play when Earl Sequeira saw his rasping 30-yard strike crash into the Pilerne nets.
