VASCO: Several school students had a miraculous escape when the school bus in which they were travelling was dangerously, which was parked on the slope without hand brakes began moving forward, without the driver.
Fortunately, the bus came to a halt after going around 15 meters off the road and also missed the electric pole that lay ahead.
According to the eyewitnesses, the incident was reported on Wednesday afternoon when about seven students from a Chicalim-based school boarded their school bus, which was parked away from the school premises.
When the bus started moving, the bus driver rushed to stop it, but failed. Luckily, major mishap was averted as the bus did not go too far and stopped before an electric pole.
No student was injured in the incident and other students who were walking on the road, also escaped after they ran away seeing a driverless bus moving forward.
