SIOLIM: Our Lady of Miracles Morjim defeated Our Lady of Rosary, Mandrem by a solitary goal to win the seven-a-side football tournament for Under-14 Altar Servers organised by St Anthony’s Parish Youth of Siolim (SAPYOS), under its animator Fr Francisco X Barreto. The tournament was held on the Independence Day for the Altar Servers of the neighbouring parishes of St Anthony’s Church Ground, Siolim.
Seven teams participated in the tournament.

Our Lady of Miracles Morjim were given a cash award of Rs 5,000 while Our Lady of Rosary earned Rs 3,000. Parish Priest Fr Dr Socorro Mendes was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
Special individual prizes were also presented. The Upcoming Player of the Tournament was given to Leslie Fernandes from of St Anthony’s Parish Youth, Siolim; the best goal-keeper was presented to Selvin Fernandes of Our Lady of Miracles, Morjim and the best player was given to Messi D’Souza of Our Lady of Miracles, Mandrem.
