PANJIM: St Estevam resident Ajay Chodankar has been booked for molesting and threatening a 21-year-old Goan-origin student from Canada on a holiday in the State.
According to the complaint, the girl and the accused were travelling in a car assigned by her father to drop her home from Kala Academy after an event. She said that on the way Chodankar tried to pull her by putting his hand behind her neck after stopping the vehicle at an isolated place in Khandola.
She said that after she resisted he started the car and dropped her at home and threatened to kill her if the incident was revealed.
Ponda Police have booked the accused under Section 354, 354A and 506 of Indian Penal Code. Ponda Police Inspector Sudesh Naik said that investigations are in progress.
The girl, who spoke to Herald, has appealed for a thorough investigation. She said she would be in Goa till mid-July and was ready to cooperate with investigation.
