MARGAO: The Telaulim gram sabha, led by Sarpanch Frenny Barretto, resolved to address the village’s arrears on house taxes and trade licence fees. Early in the meeting, it was emphasised that only registered voters from Telaulim would be permitted to contribute to the discussions. Among the main topics, the problem of traffic congestion on the Navelim-Telaulim road, exacerbated by vehicles parking on the roadside, was a significant concern. Participants called for the panchayat to urge traffic authorities to ensure that vehicles are kept within the premises of institutions.

On a related note, the gram sabha also highlighted the congestion at a traffic junction due to vendors occupying space on the footpaths, which further disrupted the flow of movement. Additionally, the gram sabha, like others recently, resolved to oppose the Sunburn festival, raising issues linked to its impact.
