PANJIM: Five Goan players have been selected for the U-14 India National camp which commenced on March 21 and will conclude on May 31, at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
The selected players will travel to Tajikistan for the AFC U-14 festival and will be considered for the AIFF academy.
The players are Frazer Viegas, a eighth standard student of Bethany Convent HS, Sao Jose de Areal and was part the U-14 Salgaocar FC team that recently won the GFA U-14 League. Along with Frazer is his teammate Kenneth Da Costa, of St Thomas HS, Cansaulim.
Kimron Fernandes, of Auxilium Convent HS, Benaulim and Maximo D’Costa, of Pope John XXIII HS, Quepem also made the cut and are part of Dempo SC’s U-14 set up. Striker Shannon Viegas, from Don Bosco HS, Panjim is the fifth rising star who dons colour of the Sporting Clube de Goa U-14 team.
Three boys from Goa were seleceted previously in round one.
