VASCO: A 50-year-old man from MPT quarters at Desterro drowned while swimming at Baina beach on Tuesday morning.
According to Vasco police, Chandrakant Kenwadkar was swimming at about 7 am, when Drishti lifeguards noticed him struggling in the sea. The lifeguards rushed to his aid and brought him ashore, but he had breathed his last.
The police have sent the body for an autopsy at GMC and PSI John Fernandes is investigating the case.
