Dempo beat Sarvodaya; Salgaocar, Chowgule win

Dempo Sports Club defeated Sarvodaya Sports Club by four wickets in Goa Premier League cricket tournament at Panjim Gymkhana, on Monday.
In the second innings, Sarvodaya were bowled out for 126 in 48.2 overs. Darshan Mirsha topscored with 38, Vijayan Kapadi 37 scored for Sarvodaya. For Dempo, Julius Fernandes claimed 4 for 35, Wadjee 3 for 7, Wadawada 2 for 24 and Amit Yadav 1 for 51.
In reply, Dempo scored 224 for 6 in 48.4 overs. Wadawada topscored with 60, Tadse 54, Ilyas 22 not out and Rahul Keni 38 scored for Dempo. For Sarvodaya, Advant Katkar claimed 2 for 62, Robin D’Souza 1 for 32 and Robin D’Souza 1 for 27.
In another match at Dr Rajendra Prasad stadium, Margao, Salgaocar Sports Club scored an eight wicket win over Al Fatah Cricket Club.
Needing 92 to win, Salgaocar achieved the target by scoring 94 for the loss of 2 wickets in 21.1 overs. Salgaocar’s Hemant Shetgaonkar 50 and Ninad Pawaaskar 17 remained unbeaten. For Al Fatah, Anoop Kolambakar was the most successful bowler claiming two wickets. With this win, Salgaocar have collected 10 points.
At Bits Pilani ground, Zuarinagar, Chowgule Sports Club defeated Goa Sport Academy by six wickets.
In the first innings, GSA, who batted first were all out for 154. In reply, Chowgule scored 162.
In the second innings, GSA were all out for 131 in 39.4 overs. For GSA, Sandeep D’Mello topscored with 25, followed by Rohan Belekar 15 and Rohit Choudhary 15. Robin D’Souza took four wickets, while Regan Pinto and Santosh Shinde claimed three wickets each for Chowgule.
Chasing 123 for victory, Chowgule achieved the target in 32.1 overs. Vaibhav Naik topscored with 53, Rohit Asnodkar 24, Ryan D’Souza 14 scored for Chowgule. For GSA, Sahil Dhuri claimed three wickets while Rohit Chowdhary took a wicket.
