MARGAO: A brillant brace by Delton Colaco helped Ave Maria A. & W. Club, Benaulim to rout Colmorod Ratvado Sports Club (CRSC) Navelim 5-2 in a GFA under-14 football tournament at Rosary ground, Navelim, Wednesday. Ave Maria led 2-0 at half time.
Ave Maria held the upper hand throughout the match and kept their opponents on the backfoot for major part of the game.
Levino Valadares opened the scoring in the 10th minute when he bulged the net in the 27th minute. Valace Baretto doubled the lead.
Crossing over, Ave Maria continued to enjoy domination and soon Delton Colaco increased the tally in the 44th .
CRSC manged to reduce the deficit in the 52nd minute when Baline Alvares punished the rival goalkeeper with a deft placement.
Ave Maria’s Delton Colaco registered his brace in the 64th minute when he punted the ball in. Three minutes later, Bevan Fernandes reduced the margin for CRSC. Subodh Rivonkar rounded off the tally in the 70th minute.
In other matches, U-14, Don Bosco beat St Estevam 7- 3, Fr. Agnel beat Ponda 4-0, St. Christopher SC lost to Assnora FSC 0-3, USC Seraulim lost 0-6 to Sirlim SC, Goa United SA hammered Vailankani FSC 9-0, AA de Majorda beat Cana Benaulim 6-1, Tilamol United beat Guardian Angel SC 11-4.
