As many as 1733 questions, which include 684 starred and 1049 unstarred questions have been received by the State Assembly secretariat for the upcoming monsoon session beginning July 19. The last date for submitting questions is Tuesday.
The Assembly secretariat has also received seven government bills – amendments to Lokayukta Act, Higher Education, Town and Country Planning, Environment, Rent verification, Health and Mopa.
A notice for a private member’s bill on sale of agriculture land to non agriculturalists has also been received. The report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) ending March 31, 2018 will also be tabled in the House.
The first two days of the session will see a general discussion on Budget 2018-19 followed by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s reply and passing of the appropriation Bill. The next ten days will have discussion on Demands on Grants. The session will conclude on August 3.
