QUEPEM: A local from Kusman-Quepem Umesh Pandhari Bhisso Naik, aged 52, died in a fatal accident, at Karali-Quepem.
The accident occurred on Monday around 9.15 am, when Naik was proceeding to Margao. After reaching Karali, while overtaking he lost control of his two-wheeler and fell into the canal chamber filled with water.

The post mortem report showed that the death was due to drowning.
