MAPUSA: PVC Parra registered a hard fought 3-2 win over Holiday Club Arpora to move into the quarters of the 21st Nerul Village Panchayat Soccer Cup, played at Nerul grounds, here on Saturday.
At halftime both the sides were locked in a 2-2 draw.
Mathias Pacheco put Parra into the lead in the 15th minute of play scoring from a close range effort. In the 28th minute of play Waldren Martins put Parra up by two goals, scoring through a goalmouth melee.
As the match progressed Pramod Mardolkar managed t reduce the margin for Arpora when his powerful right footer crashed into the Parra nets while in the 34th minute of play Pallav managed to net in the equalizer for Arpora through a brilliant long range strike.
Crossing over Vasant Gadekar fired in the all important goal of the match for Parra in the 52nd minute of play.
