Panjim: The job scam had generated sufficient heat and all round condemnation against the government. However, after just a few days, the investigation lost steam and the police top brass said no politician was involved. Now the job scam investigation has virtually come to a stand still. Hence is the present Sextortion scandal being orchestrated to divert from the job scam?
Adv Amit Palekar, President, of AAP Goa said, “I believe so, because the MLA had filed a complaint before the crime branch and given the video himself. If the accused is in judicial custody and the phone of the accused. If the phone is with the Crime Branch, it is no understood how the video can been leaked from the custody of the Crime Branch. So it shows that somebody from the Crime branch is leaked the video, probably at the behest of the police.”

“It is not surprising that a particular media house did a discussion on the issue and the closeness of this media house to the government is apparent. It is very clear that the government and CM were involved in giving these details out. This is a clear cut allegation, there is no other way this video can be leaked,” Palekar said.
Political Commentator Trajano D’Mello asked, “Who has complained about this sextortion. Reports suggest it is from a prominent personality from the Opposition. So is it the case that a member of the Opposition is helping the government to divert the main issue, according to people, which is the job scam? They should answer it. My submission is the father of all scams is the cash for Land Conversion Scam which is destroying the very fabric of Goa, the environment of Goa and the soul of Goa.”
“Because by converting the land, the entire demography will change and Goans will be lost in their own State. As far as the job scam is concerned, I am demanding and repeating, that a judicial inquiry has to take place for all the recruitments that have taken place from 2012 till date,” Trajano said.
BJP Spokesman Giriraj Pai Vernekar said,”Whether he should resign or not is his moral right. I want to ask Carlos only one thing, that person who used to take press conference every day, who used to tell point of law, what is his opinion on this? But who will join the BJP only the President of the party or the CM will be able to tell you. I don’t think that BJP needs Carlos or whether he will join the BJP. But my question is so many videos have come about, there are so many posts, why is he silent?”
