BENAULIM: Rossman Cruz Sports Club, Nagoa thrashed Young Strikers, Benaulim 7-0 to storm into the semi-finals of the 34th Strikers trophy soccer tournament organised by Young Strikers Benaulim, at St John Baptist ground, Dando- Benaulim.
Benaulim with six teenagers in their line up were a mismatch to Nagoa who had a seasoned Joaquim Abranches, Fulganco Cardoso, Savio Fernandes and Beneston Baretto in their ranks.
The host did well in the early stages but two minutes before the break conceded two quick goals through the boots of winger Beneston Baretto and Jesloy Moniz.
After the resumption, the pattern remained same with Nagoa on constant attack and the young Benaulim lads chasing the ball.
Midway through the excitment Beneston Baretto completed his well deserving hat-trick and Jesloy Moniz his brace.
Despite the match already in their pocket, Nagoa were hungry for more as striker Savio Fernandes and substitute wing back Vincernt Fernandes also got their names on the score sheet to complete a miserable outing for the young Benaulim side.
