SANGUEM: Judicial Magistrate First Class Sanguem Sunita Gaunekar convicted Eric Lobo and Santiago Lobo, both residents of Rivona for illegally possessing a 12 mm bore single barrel gun under the Arms Act.
The duo was arrested by Quepem RFO and produced before Sanguem Police and was accordingly arrested on May 29, 2019. However, they were released on bail the same day.

They were charged by the police for offence under Section 3 read with 25 of the Arms Act after a single barrel 12 mm bore gun was found at their residence.
In support of the complaint and accusations, the State examined the complainant and other witnesses. After going through the material on record and arguments tendered by APP Sanford Fernandes and the Advocate appearing for the accused, the judge held the duo guilty of the offence and sentenced them to undergo simple imprisonment till rising of the court.
