PANJIM: Generation Next president Durgadas Kamat on Thursday filed a complaint with the Judicial Magistrate First Class regarding the non-registering of a case of IFFI 2014 scam.
Kamat had filed a complaint at Panjim Police Station on April 1, 2015 but claims that the police instead of registering the FIR had waited for the accused to respond to letters.
“In the petition we have prayed that the court register an FIR in terms of Section 154 of CrPC, direct and command the police to register a criminal case,” Kamat said.
He added that he had filed a complaint with the Prime Minister to highlight the corruption in Serula Comunidade on June 20 this year.
The NGO has come to learn that the PMO in response to the letter has asked the Chief Secretary of Goa to initiate action in the matter.
Additionally, the department of revenue has also directed the North Goa collector to take necessary action.
