Velim Panchayat Cup football on April 8
MARGAO: Sports and Welfare Club of Zaino will take on Panchwadi United, Shiroda in the inaugural of All-Goa Velim Panchayat inter-village football tournament organized by Sports and Welfare Club of Zaino on April 8 at Zaino Ground, Velim.
SC Davorlim, Raitura, Navelim Villagers Union, Guardian Angel, Clube SM Taleigao, Fr Agnel YSC, FC Neura, St Rock’s YSC, Betalbatim SC, SJ Areal, Goa Velha and Verna will vie for the top honors. Rs 40,000 and Rs 30,000 will be awarded.
Volleyball trials in Margao
PANJIM: The advanced volleyball trials to select boys and girls for the pre-national camp in preparation for 21st Mini Nationals Volleyball Championship will be organized by GVA on April 6 at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, at 3 p.m.
Those born on or after 1/1/1999 may report at the venue with their original birth certificates to the coach.
